The process of radicalization is a spectrum: it does not begin with storming a capitol, but with the first click on a video explaining social justice warriors.
Our approach has to recognize this.
We know it doesn’t work to speak with a patronizing or paternalistic tone.
We know anyone on the internet will not take cringeworthy writing seriously.
Deliberate fact-checking and platforming voices who promote radical ideologies will amplify them, not expose them.
